Prabhavati Majabrao Shirpate’s son commit suicide on January 25, 2008. Murlidhar Ajavrao Shirpate, 38, threw himself down a well in his family's two-acre farm. He left a suicide note telling his father, mother, wife and three daughters that he could no longer take the financial stress and suicide was his only way out. He was the main bread winner in the household and the family is now struggling to pay-off loans amounting to 55,000 Indian rupees (USD$1,026).
